Scientific studies indicate that nerve decompression at areas where nerves are pinched or trapped can significantly reduce the risk of diabetic foot ulcer recurrence. Historically, the annual recurrence rate has been reported at 25%, but this risk drops by more than 80%, falling to below 5% per year after the procedure.
Your doctor may recommend this surgery as a preventive step for your other foot, to stop ulcers before they start.
At D.U.R.A, our mission is to prevent or reduce the recurrence of diabetic foot ulcers.
